I really enjoyed the session and found it very interesting and insightful. For someone who says she gets nervous before talking in front of a group, you sure make it look easy. Everything you spoke about and the activities you had us all participate in were very relevant to helping us all expand our clientele and Brett's business. I have got to say that this year's Melbourne Mentorship Breakfast, run by Women of Note, must be the best one I have been to. I recently attended a presentation conducted by Kirsty called Culture is caught, not taught and found it excellent. I was in the audience yesterday whilst you were giving your talk at the Ernst & Young Women's Leadership luncheon. As I didn't have the opportunity to speak to your afterward, I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say that your discussion on networking was fantastic! What I loved most were the excellent tips you gave us, which really, when you think about it, are so simple that everyone has the capability to implement them. During the first 10 minutes or so, you made such a positive impression on me (I think the real clincher was when you said that practice does not make perfect as I also believe that is not the case and I rarely come across people who also have that view), that all I could think about was that you were my age and that my skill set in public speaking, networking and understanding what makes a successful business are nothing in comparison. What I took from that though was that with determination, self confidence and the willingness to challenge yourself and go outside your comfort zone, you can really achieve whatever it is that you want.

My name is Michael Ryan, and I was the inhouse sound & lighting technician on behalf of NCC (New Zealand) LTD for the Harcourts Conference 2004, Keynote and workshop sessions in the James Hay Theatre.

Your Keynote session to me and many others, was full of very useful advice, tips, and information which will greatly help me in success in the future. Your means of re-attracting clients and pushing advertising for new clients for very low cost and keeping the client happy, are very rare in todays world.

In my business plan, My vision is to offer the highest possible service, for the best price, meeting all demands and needs, with the highest amount of respect for the client. I agree with everything you said and will use as much of your information that is relevant to my industry as possible.

You energised my self-esteem telling me I CAN DO IT, which boosted me to revise my business plan, and think how can I make things better.

I hope to use your techniques in my future advertising which I am certain will greatly improve my work levels and hopefully balance things out over the year.

Team is very important. I think if you treat your team well, they will work well. Your speech taught me to push this towards the client as well.... treat your client well, they will give respect and possible future work back, as well as word of mouth advertising.

Congratulations on your speech and success. You completly deserve it. Might I add, you were the most valuable and interesting keynote speaker I listened to, and also the most friendly. You were the only person to thank the people behind the scenes, and you were bubbly and cheerful both before and after your session which made working with you a breeze. This cheered me up, and already I have probably talked about the value of your session with probably now in excess of 20 work mates and friends. I had the pleasure of listening to you speak at the 'step to the future' youth forum recently held in Launceston. I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you. From myself and from the students at Queechy High school whom attended on Friday. You were an amazing speaker, and personally, you were my favourite and I learnt so much from sitting there and listening to you speak for 40 minutes. Thinking about what you told us and then about what you accomplished. I came to one simple conclusion. You are wonder woman!
